How do you rate peace?
The Institute for Economics and Peace, a think-tank, has developed a global peace index in conjunction with the Economist Intelligence Unit. The most recent index was released on June 12th and is composed of 23 indicators ranging from Terroristic acts to death from conflicts to political instability. This infographic demonstrates how this index scored the world in 2007 and 2012. Surprisingly, China was more peaceful than the United States in 2007. Countries that were least peaceful were Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Somalia.
